We are back home

I am happy to say that I am writing to this from home. It was so wonderful to see the other babies again. I loved the commotion and the noise. Rebecca and Olivia flew with Jenni and I. I needed to be here to prepare for Jonas/James adoption tomorrow. That by the way has hit a snag. Jonas has lost one of his shoes and he only has one pair. I just found out about that today! So tomorrow we are adopting a barefoot boy unless I can find a pair of shoes!!!

Rachel is off of the ventilator and Dr Li was really happy to tell me about this. She will be coming out of the SICU on Monday. Danielle is right on target for her recovery. That means that all my babies have had corrective surgery and that leaves Benjamin with another to go to complete his heart repair. The cleft babies will continue to need care still but they are adoptable. This is also the last section I need to send in the adoption dossiers and there are going to be a lot of those.

So many people have been asking about the photos for the blog. I am so sorry!!! I still do not have a camera of my own although I have had an offer for a new one. Thanks to Shelli for her thoughtfulness. I do have some photos but I need to get them on to a disc before I can use them. I promise to send as many as I can.

I am off to bed. It is really weird to think that this is going to be the last night I am Jonas/James' mom. Tomorrow all of that changes. How happy I am to have had Jonas and to have watched him grow. I am so thrilled that he is getting a family of his very own!! In September 2005 it seemed such a distant dream.

Love and laughter, with mixed feelings included,

What an exciting time! I hope that all goes well with his adoption. It must be such a confusing time for you, happy but sad too.
