I saw the bathroom in 104 and knew I wanted to do something to fix it up and so we started. I am grateful for the donations I received especially for the bathroom and for all the help that was offered. I loved the retired couples who came and helped some projects and for Christian who finished the whole thing off. Thank you to everyone who helped. A funny story: I was telling a friend about my Chinese bathroom and he thought there was a squatter potty in there. That is not something I think the foreigners would have liked.
Anyway I am rather proud of the way it turned out. The table I found at the second hand furniture store for 150RMB (US$22) and the tap and the bowl was in total 375 RMB (US$55) There is a huge variety of choices here in China. I have learned to shop at the local amazon shop (www.taobao.com) and I love the variety they have even though it takes me a long time to sort through everything because I can not read Chinese.
Life, love and laughter,
Amanda

It looks wonderful! So beautiful!
What a beautiful remodeling job! Love it.
Very nice, Amanda.
When shopping at Taoboa, you might want to try using Google Chrome as your browser (http://www.google.com/chrome). I went to the website, http://www.taobao.com/, just to see what there was to see and Chrome asked me if it should translate from Simplified Han to English and I said yes. The translation isn't great, but it might be better for you than the characters!
Congratulations on completing the bathroom.
