Adoption 11: An Update on Megan

Megan was adoption Number 11 for Starfish.  She was known as Jasmine aka the three flowers, since there was a group of them that was name Heather, Lily and Jasmine.  Megan was adopted in May two years ago. She became the younger sister of Carly.  It is incredible to think of how the time has gone by.

Hi Amanda,

Sorry it's been so long.  I hope all is well with you and all of the Starfish family.  We are doing well and have been busy.  Megan is now 3 1/2 yrs old and getting very big. She weighs 35 pounds and is now 3 foot 2 inches tall.  She is wearing 4T clothes. Next week her daycare will do testing for pre-school.  She knows most of her colors, can count to 10 and can write her name.

 

Here are some pictures from Chinese New Year, Carly's birthday-day party, Easter and our annual Carly's adoption travel group.  We went to Indianapolis and 7 of  the 9 in our travel group made it for the weekend.  We went to the zoo and they had a fun playground and did some site seeing.   Megan loved jumping off the rock.  Megan had so much fun that weekend running around playing with all of the kids.  There were 3 older brothers in the group and she just loved playing and laughing with them.   There's one picture of Megan bawling her eyes out.  You may remember when she doesn't get her way she gets really mad!  Everyone wanted to take one picture of just the girls from Carly's group and we had to remove her from the picture.  Even taking a picture of her and her buddy Luke didn't cheer her up.

 

My Mom had knee replacement and when she left the hospital lived with us for 3 weeks.  Mom just loved being with the girls all the time.  Megan took such good care of her.  She would help cover her up and make her 'tea & cookies'.  Mom is convinced she is going to be a doctor or nurse when she grows up because she has takes such good care of you. 

 

So are you still planning on coming to the states in June? I know there was talk about having a reunion on 6/29 but haven't heard anything definite. We are going on vacation in TN the week before but hope to see you.
