Just a quick note.
I am in Shanghai, flew in during one bumpy ride due to a typhoon. Erica will be having her surgery in Wednesday China time. When she got to me at the end of July her sack on the back of her head was the size of an egg and now looks like an orange. She also has hydrocephalus and there are nerves in the sack. It has made her uncomfortable and she cries when you move her, Dr Bao agreed to do the surgery for which I am so grateful. I was concerned about her. Cailean's sack is still the same size and he shows no effects from having spina bifida.
I do not have access to a computer but I will let you know about Erica's progress when I can.
After improving slowly but steadily, Christopher took a turn for the worse and he is back on the respirator. The two of them are now in the same hospital and are both Dr Bao's patients.
Love and laughter,
Amanda
