Starfish Experiences

As you might know, I have been working on a website and I thought it might be a good idea if you wrote about any and all experiences you have had with Starfish.

This can be about coming to:
Volunteer
Fundraising
Donations
Getting newsletters
Reading the blog
How did you find us
Surgeries
Whatever you would like to write about that has to do with Starfish. Send your name, a photo if you want and let me know if I can post your email address or not so people can contact you if they want.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

Love and laughter,
Amanda

I am in Florida right now, but will be home this weekend. I will put something together for you hopefully on Monday and get it to you. I think you are a miraculous human being. I would be thrilled to share the story of your impact on my life with others.

Hi Amanda! My name is Emily, and we actually met about 3 weeks ago. I was a CCS volunteer and came to the foster home with two other girls (Caroline & Theresa). I'm the one from New York. Anyway, I just want to say that I was really touched by your story and the orphanage, and I wish you and the babies best of luck! Hope to meet you again in the future!

I can't remember how exactly I came to the Starfish, but I do remember being in tears while reading the post. Your story is so incredible Amanda. This woman in China who decides to open her home to orphans requiring an incredible amount of care. The photos and accounts of you raising money and nurturing them through surgeries. I cannot imagine the fear that must race through your heart while caring for the spina bifida babies-having to be so careful not to damage the sack. Witnessing your life has shown me that I could be so much more and do so much more. I am completely inspired by you. You are a very strong and amazing woman. I'm glad to know, even if it is only through a blog. I am a better person for it.
