Susan is leaving for Hangzhou! Susan and her foster mother Amanda will be leaving a few hours for Shanghai, where they will be meeting friends. These friends will then be driving Susan and Amanda to Hangzhou Friday morning. Dr. Li will be meeting them, ready to meet baby Susan.
We are happy that this child with severe heart disease will soon have a chance to be healed. Once Dr. Li has had a chance to examine her more closely, we will have a better idea of what her defects are. From the initial reports, Dr. Li thinks she has an atrioventricular septum defect (AVSD), mitral valve regurgitation (MI), single atrium (SA), patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), possible coarctation, and severe pulmonary hypertension (PH). He has said that it is complex, but she still has a chance and it will be the only way to save her life.
Please help us by saying a prayer or keeping this little one in your thoughts. You have all helped to rally around her to help get her this far, we now need to get her through her surgery.Thank YOU so much for helping to give this little girl a chance!
Sincerely,
Karen Maunu
