Savannah's Fundraising

A church group in Virginia wanted to sponsor a baby at Starfish.  This is one of the letters I got from a friend about her granddaughter fundraising efforts for a baby called Joy.

Savannah is my six year old granddaughter and I am so very proud of the money she has made to help out baby Joy.   Savannah and her two older sisters come to our home every Tuesday for sewing lessons so I was able to help her out with her ornaments. We  hand sewed felt "J"s.  J's for  Baby Joy and j's for Jesus. She is in love with that baby.

A few days later she added:   She ended up with a little over $200.00 

So this is what Christmas is all about!

At Starfish, we have taken care of 124 children to date, arranged more than 100 surgeries and had 51 international adoptions, so our little starfishes live all over the globe: the US, Netherlands, Norway, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Canada and in China.  Our latest adoption was to Finland, the land of Santa, the reindeer and the North Pole right before Christmas.  We currently have 44 babies under the age of 3.  Preparing to move to our new "castle" hopefully before the end of the year.
