Will (Nathaniel) Adventures

I am so happy to have heard from Will (Nathaniel's) before Christmas. I am so grateful that he is so happy with his family and it shows in these pictures.

Will is doing great. He has caught up in all areas (except speech) in his development. He will be having surgery on January 21, 2009 on his teeth. The oral surgeon will be capping a few of his teeth, filling his cavities and pulling the tooth that is growing from his palate. His ENT Dr. will also be putting tubes in his ears at the same time. His last hearing test, which was a bone test to bypass fluid, showed that his hearing will be excellent once the fluid is drained and tubes are placed in his ears.

His second surgery, to close his palate, will happen on March 2, 2009. The docs could not do everything in one surgery because the oral surgeon and the plastic surgeon will both need about 2 hours each and it would be too long to put Will under. The worst part of this surgery will be the fact that Will will be in arm restraints for 1 week. Luckily he will sit and listen to books for hours!

Will has been very busy with all the holidays! We took him to see Santa, but he did not want anything to do with sitting on his lap! He'll just admire him from afar this year!

The photo below is from Will's Baptism.

"Independent Will". He has to do everything by himself!

Will being silly.

He is already playing computer games, using the mouse!

Loves his big brother and sister!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Love,

Mary Carol
