Megan/Jasmine: Life After Starfish

Here is the update on Megan/Jasmine:
Megan has been sleeping through the night for over a month now. The other night Ken had to go somewhere and she cried for 10 minutes. Tonight Daddy and her were playing in the living room while Carly was still finishing dinner. Afterwards, we went outside to play and I started trimming shrubs and my 2 little helpers threw them in the yard waste can. She just loves helping and has to do everything Carly does. Daycare started working on potty training last week so I bought the little potty seats for home and pull ups. She just sits on there so well and even wipes herself. Of course, she hasn't gone yet for me but she likes the idea. I think it helps seeing her big sister sitting on the potty. She also loves having her teeth brushed and gets the toothpaste out for me. This past weekend we went to our first parade and picnic. She wasn't afraid of the clowns but didn't care for the person walking that was dressed like a bear. She had been sitting in her own little chair up to that point but then it was my lap. She would get down and pick up candy and put it in a bag after watching Carly and Mariella (our travel mates daughter) do the same. Once the parade was over, it was time to go to the picnic to ride on the rides. Her first ride was the little cars/motorcycles with big sister in the front. When the ride was over and I tried to get her off she cried. We went on more rides and she loved it. Over the Sept. labor day holiday weekend, we're going on a little mini-vacation to an amusement/water park in Indiana. She doesn't mind her car seat anymore so we'll see how the 3 hour drive goes. If all else fails there is also the DVD player to hopefully entertain.

Life, Love and Laughter,
Amanda
