The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Since starting the blog, I have tried to be really honest about the experiences I have, the good, the bad and the ugly. I have not hidden any aspect of my life here because I thought it important to understand the experiences associated with helping children. I write about our joyful moments which have been many and the painful ones too, which have been fewer. So in that vein here is another sad chapter which I will share with you. I hope that you will pray for comfort to surround Bonnie and her family as they face yet another inexplicable loss.

Please pray for us. We just heard that our little Mandi Hope died suddenly...no details known...and we are devastated. The last we heard she was happy and healthy in a foster home with a family who really loved her. I have her photo on my desk next to Susan's....and I look at them all the time. Tomorrow will be the one month anniversary of Susan's death, and now we have lost Mandi too. This is almost more than I can bear. Thinking about Mandi and planning for her to join our family was the one thing that was helping me heal the most from Susan's loss. Nothing makes sense to me right now. Please lift our family up in prayer.

Bonnie

I hope that one of the lessons that we will learn is that when we compare ourselves to the pain of this family right now, we will have absolutely nothing to complain about and everything to feel grateful for. A dding my prayers to yours for Bonnie and Andy and their children.

With much love,
Amanda

I just read in a book(that I love) that when a very young child dies, this child is really an angel from God. And that this special angel comes to earth for a very short time to bless the people that touch its life. This angel gives them a gift that they may not be able to appreciate until way later....there will be a gift.....there are blessings. I pray for your family, Bonnie, that you find strength and peace at this most difficult time.
This is so true...I know this and you will too.
